John Klassen wins ASMS Ron Hites Award

GlycoNet principal investigator and Scientific Director of the Alberta Glycomics Centre, Dr. John Klassen, is this year’s recipient of the Ron Hites Award from the Journal of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry.

The Ron Hites Award recognizes an outstanding presentation of original research. Dr. Klassen accepted the award on June 3 at the ASMS Conference in St. Louis. Dr. Klassen received the award, along with co-authors Lan Liu, Alyson Baergen, Klaus Michelsen, Elena N. Kitova, and Paul D. Schnier, for their paper Energetics of Intermolecular Hydrogen Bonds in a Hydrophobic Cavity, published in JASMS in 2014.
