href=\"https:\/\/rsc-src.ca\/en\/news\/royal-society-canada-announces-its-2024-cohort-fellows-and-college-members\">La Soci\u00e9t\u00e9 royale du Canada (SRC) a r\u00e9cemment annonc\u00e9, le 3 septembre, qu'elle avait \u00e9lu 104 nouveaux membres cette ann\u00e9e<\/a>L'un d'entre eux est le chercheur de GlycoNet, le Dr David Vocadlo, professeur \u00e0 l'Universit\u00e9 Simon Fraser.<\/p><p>Fond\u00e9e en 1882 en tant qu'acad\u00e9mie nationale du Canada, la SRC encourage la recherche et l'\u00e9ducation dans les domaines des arts, des lettres et des sciences. Elle accorde des bourses \u00e0 des personnes estim\u00e9es, choisies par leurs pairs, qui ont apport\u00e9 une contribution significative dans ces domaines.\u00a0<\/p><p>Le Dr Vocadlo est un biologiste chimique renomm\u00e9 qui utilise la chimie de mani\u00e8re cr\u00e9ative pour d\u00e9couvrir les r\u00f4les biologiques des hydrates de carbone. Ses recherches pionni\u00e8res ont donn\u00e9 lieu \u00e0 des d\u00e9couvertes surprenantes, ont conduit \u00e0 la r\u00e9vision des paradigmes dominants et ont \u00e9largi notre compr\u00e9hension de l'un des principaux \u00e9l\u00e9ments constitutifs de la nature.
