the recipients of the 2025 LSO Awards, recognizing individuals and companies that have made significant contributions to Ontario&#8217;s life sciences sector. Among this year&#8217;s honorees was a company that GlycoNet supported early on\u2014Zucara Therapeutics Inc., which was named <strong>Emerging Company of the Year<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/p><p>Zucara Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing <strong>ZT-01<\/strong>, a first-class therapeutic designed to prevent hypoglycemia in individuals with Type 1 and insulin-dependent Type 2 diabetes.\u00a0<\/p><p>Currently in Phase 2 development, ZT-01 aims to restore glucagon secretion to prevent dangerously low blood sugar levels, potentially transforming diabetes disease management and improving patient quality of life.<\/p><p>The company has raised over <strong>US$50 million<\/strong> in funding, with investment and support from several partners and organizations, including GlycoNet.<\/p><p>The 2025 LSO Awards ceremony will take place on <strong>May 14, 2025, at the Automotive Building at Exhibition Place in Toronto<\/strong>.<\/p><p><a
