High School Resources
GlycoNet has teamed up with the University of Alberta’s Centre for Mathematics, Science, and Technology Education (CMASTE) to produce resources for use in Canadian high school classrooms.
Each summer, GlycoNet-affiliated researchers host several teachers in their labs. Over the course of a couple of weeks, the teachers become familiar with the projects GlycoNet researchers are working on, learn about the career possibilities in glycomics-related STEM fields, and have the opportunity to try out some basic experiments. The teachers then draw on this experience to create resources and activities for use in general science, biology, and chemistry classrooms across the country. Learn more about CMASTE.
